Were originally London based, but moved to New York to write and record at Electric Lady Studios as part of a proposed Brit 'post romantic' supergroup. Things didn't go as planned!
The Murder recordings feature the late and great Andy Anderson playing unbelievable drums along with the other top session players used in collaboration with the Band. The song was eventually recorded at Electric Lady and Trident Studios, but then the master reels were 'kidnapped' by an angry ex-road manager as a result of financial recriminations!
New York was in the midst of a drug Tsunami, with sanity in short supply. Dreams of success quickly faded to be replaced by recriminations, financial arguments, drug dependancy and a downward spiral into a dark world of misery, depression and mental breakdown. The singer wrote the song about how people would see him if he murdered the band's manager, because all the voices in his disturbed mind at the time were telling him to do so. He eventually fled back to London to escape the tragedy, but it didn't end there!
